Teacher

Performers and the Alexander Technique

There is no doubt that the Alexander Technique brings tremendous benefits for artists in general. Artists like Madonna, Sting and James Galway use the Technique to improve their artistic performance.

Artists need to express themselves in a balanced, coordinated and controlled way while performing their roles. In my experience in working with artists, they understand and are open to integrate a Technique which main aim is to provide them with freedom and enhance the creativity needed. For that reason, I teach the Alexander Technique in the first stage to artists through workshops where they can have a first approach of what the Technique can do for them.

Then, I teach on a one to one basis in order to address each individual’s habits and help each one of them to improve their freedom to express themselves in their roles.

"Which book changed your life?

Answer: The one the teacher put under my head during the Alexander Technique sessions at RADA. I grew an inch and a half."

"The Alexander Technique helped a long standing back problem, and to get a good night's sleep after many years of tossing and turning."

The Alexander Technique has helped me to undo knots, unblock energy and deal with almost paralysing stage fright.
